As the new Smokefree Regulations bring significant changes, staying informed is more important than ever, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. To make sure our retail customers are fully up to date and ready to adapt, the webinar was divided into two main parts.

Session 1: Policy Updates – What You Need to Know

We selected the key points of the new Smokefree Regulation relevant to your business, including Specialist vape stores, internet stores and general stores. Clear guidance was given on what is and isn’t allowed under the current rules, helping our retail customers avoid risks and operate in a compliant way.

What the main items will be changed?

  • A complete ban on disposable vapes;
  • Comprehensive restrictions in advertising & promotion.
  • Stricter controls on product visibility and in-store (including online store) display;
  • Higher penalties for underage(under 18) sales.

Not all forms of advertising is prohibited, SVR can display vape products and its pricing, official health information and other exemptions listed out in related legislations. What information can be provided to customers?

Some exemptions are allowed to provide for identifying the products:

  • Written or spoken word only
  • The brand of the regulated product
  • The variant name
  • The amount or quantity, or size
  • The price

This information must be displayed in the following format:

  • printed or handwritten black lettering
  • typeface no longer than Helvetica 16 pt

Session 2-1: Major GGZ changes impacting retail customers:

-display, marketing materials and the way we communicate.

  • From June 16th, we’ll remove product photos, videos and promotion deals from IGET Wholesale Websites.
  • Digital and physical materials are not available anymore, whether they are posters, Video, POP materials (e.g., display boxes, samples)

For the digital materials, please check the brand’s official website (like IGET’s homepage), or contact GGZ Team to get basic, text-based product description files

Complete ban on any form of image-based advertising or promotional activity

Including but not limited to:

If we’re going to launch a new product, we can only mention basic product information and the pricing list.

Product Information

-product usage, ingredient specifications, safety, and health warnings

-must not be used for promotional purposes or to induce consumption.

Price List

-Only include pricing, product names/codes, and mandatory warning statements.

-No images, promotional content, or descriptive language that could be interpreted as a recommendation.

Session 2-2: Product Roadmap & Future Plans
